Acoustic Solutions: Ceilings
The Hisar School project was designed to create quieter and more comfortable learning environments that support students and teachers throughout the school day. Classrooms require good acoustic performance because excessive reverberation and background noise make it harder for students to understand speech and maintain concentration. To address these challenges, Feltouch supplied Ellipse Cloud and Grid Cloud acoustic ceiling systems throughout the classrooms.
The design team installed Ellipse Cloud acoustic ceiling panels above classroom areas to absorb sound close to its source. The suspended ceiling elements reduce reverberation, improve speech clarity, and help create learning spaces where students can focus more easily. Their soft, curved forms also add a modern architectural character while maintaining a bright and open atmosphere.
The classrooms also feature Grid Cloud acoustic systems that work together with the cloud panels to improve overall acoustic performance. The ceiling solution helps control sound reflections across the space, creating balanced acoustics that support both teaching and classroom discussions. As a result, teachers can communicate more clearly, while students experience a calmer and more productive learning environment.
Educational spaces demand high acoustic comfort because students spend long periods listening, speaking, and collaborating throughout the day. By combining Ellipse Cloud and Grid Cloud, the project reduces unwanted noise and improves speech intelligibility without affecting the clean architectural design of the classrooms. The ceiling systems also contribute to visual comfort by creating organized and welcoming interiors.
Overall, the Hisar School project demonstrates how acoustic ceiling solutions improve educational environments. By integrating Ellipse Cloud and Grid Cloud systems throughout the classrooms, Feltouch created spaces with lower noise levels, better speech clarity, improved acoustic comfort, and a more enjoyable learning experience for both students and teachers.
